I refer to recent battle over the pipeline in ND and how it is the indigenous Indians from old, that are standing up against the old technology. The Dakota Pipeline is a project of a Texas Company. They want the oil from Northwest N Dakota which was at its peak when they started this project. The Texas company is spending a lot of money on something that will and is old, out-of-date technology.
Every deal that is made will be in the interest of some company even if the majority of citizens don’t agree and pay for it. What is hard for me,is how could people think this is a good idea. Their comeback to war and environmental destruction we now face is the “other choice lied or did something[so fucking de minimis], it is not funny.
It is time for everyone to awaken to the fact that large companies run the world in most places; especially here, where we worship the EBITDA and share price, over all other things. I must have missed that life lesson in all the old teachings and creation stories, philosophers I studied or read or was told about. The big multinationals expanded into a country after country until they are a society of their own. Back in 1984, I wrote an international HR manual that emphasized the culture of the company rather than a country and how to try and do that. 30 years of that and much less government or any opposing force to their will and money, and you no longer have a government that represents the good of the whole United States. Everyone fell for the Reagan Voodoo economics that they knew would not work, but could see how they would benefit and they have said one thing and done the opposite for decades! I have met the clueless and they are family and friends. The thousands of lies being told by so-called Christians is a joke.
