The historian, Yuval Harari recently published books on the NYT best seller list, Sapiens and Homo Deus, that are must reads. It is so good to see this kind of interest in helping people realize the uniqueness in history we are living right now. America and other countries are being distracted from the huge changes underway that will disrupt the human species for years to come. We are going through something like the Agriculture or Industrial Revolution. We need to read about those times because the future is going to be rather upsetting. Harari explains things in basic terms that should start getting people to turn off the TV and start reading. I have been repeating the future of work will not be like before and new jobs will replace old ones 1to1. That is why The Economist came out with an analysis on a national income for everyone. And the speed of change has hit the blade of the hockey stick. And finally, everyone is lying to you about what is real and important. Do not just follow someone because of money.
