I was thinking about how crazy the world has become on top of turning 65 and attempting to retire. What a screwed up system we managed to build. Are we at the curve in the hockey stick pictured by Kurtzweil? That would explain a lot. It seems that way as the entire foundation of communications is being re-architected while getting more self-programming programs to solve problems. In fact, there are so many more major changes in Information technology that businesses use, especially technology companies that build solutions, people cannot keep up. Nevermind, go faster, faster… the race to AGI is for a massive prize if it is not shared as open source. But then the military would want to control it like all the movies depict. I wonder though. Where was the Navy cyberspace warriors when Russia gangsters directly attacked our Internet core, the DNS servers with a DDOS using “things”on the internet. Or IoT. Have all the manufactuers of these “things”been mandated to implement standard security features that prevent a 50 billion things making havoc of our lives. No, I wouldn’t think so. If there are some smart people in our government, maybe we should let them speak. WIRED
