It is shocking that polls have Trump close to Clinton in a national elections. My fear was Hillary and all her baggage. I also don’t trust her but hells bells. She is 100 times better than a potentate Trump. So what is the reality? Are the polls junk and useless or misleading or are Americans so ignorant they can’t see the serious danger someone like Trump poses for the country and the world.
I think somebody said it best when they compared elections to a sporting event. People just want their team to win. They identify with one party and that is as far as it goes. Does that make them stupid? That would lead you to reason that anybody who ignores facts and reality in favor of their “beliefs” is stupid. That translates into religious people are stupid and although a lot of them are, a belief in a God or universal power makes life a little bit of a mystery and for many, worth living.
