The Fragile Internet

This week was like hell for me, with unbarable heat and humidity, difficulty getting anything accomplished due to complacent people not doing what they say they have done or will do but others hounding me for things to meet their deadlines which change regularly. Over promising and under delivery is the trend. I have noticed a broad spectrum of companies that are lowering the quality of their products to keep prices from going up. Across the board, companies making things in China that are noticably lower quality than a few years ago. And the consistancy is not there. I have reduced the use of Amazon because of the junk they are selling in place of brand names. Stuff that falls apart or never works but vendors emailing me directly to get a review. Speaking  of reviews, you can’t trust them anymore because of people that are dishonest and lie for a chance to get something.  These people have a price for going to the devils side but it is a buck or two. Useless.

I had two different people from a doctors office lie to me about doing something they never did!  Literraly call me and say they just sent a fax that they never did send. It is like people have taken the lead from Trump and Republicans that lieing is perfectly OK to do. They even get angry if you question their actions.

That being said, I caught this article about a week from hell for many Internet Services with many interruptions and poor processes for pushing updates into production. There is a day of reckoning ahead. I just wish I knew when the machines that do the investing recognize the mess that has been created.
