I have no evidence other than we need people that know how we have, as a species, handled massive, rapid change caused by technology shifts. Did entrenched interested fight the changes. One would expect that. But, then I have been taught that capitalism is meant to be brutally objective and the best solution wins in the end. But that is theory and reality is that humans are sneaky, nasty and fearful and will do anything to hang on to what they have.
America has already fallen is economic, political power and standards of living. The wong decisions are being made and supported because the old technologies of buying, selling, makeing, shipping, packing, tracking., communicating, socialize, marketing, advertising are all massively different than just 1 president ago!!
John Roberts inexplicable ruling that would flood politics with even more money from special interested, guaranteed a totally corrupt administration, but even worse; a non-functioning democracy and GOP and Democratic parties. A fool can see we allow outright bribery of our political officials. We know by reasearch that politicians represent their donors and not voters. How long do you think it will take before things explode? We are on the path of self-destruction or worse and I see almost no leader worth the title.
The critical financial markets are very nervous. They have no idea what to focus on to predict the economy. Prices are rising which will cause higher interest rates. Ok, I bought my first condo at a 12% ARM. The markets are irrational gambling with little understanding of the economics, social and technological combined impact. Actually, just having our President makes everyone nuts. The new economy of based on FAAG, has shown over and over they do not have a handle or soution of security to run everything. What would happen if a few more massive security failures are exposed and there are real losses. How much do those companies represent. Facebook is lost, Apple is using the public as beta testers, Amazon is taking everything and Google may devise our own demise.
