I believe that there is power, beyond our understanding, just in the mental act of believing. That would be as far as I have learned in all the metaphysical study in my life . I no longer beat myself up for being a doubting Thomas. The book of Enoch and Thomas would make a reasonable person have doubts. As do the dead sea scrolls.
The one thing I am sure of: Power still corrupts and I am reminded of Steve Earle’s words of wisdom at a live concert when he said, it is never unpatriotic or unAmerican to question anything in a DEMOCRACY!
