Interesting and relevant today. History is important. We find ourselves in a similar situation as when industrial revolution cause great chaos and hardship for the vast majority of people. It took a populist movement and a government that responded to the people to finally spread the benefits more equitably.
One of the reasons for the decline in the majority of Americans quality of life and income, is advances in technology. Machines replace humans or keep wages flat and profits go to the owners. Without some redistribution of those profits, people will continue to lose ground and more and more wealth will concentrate to the few.
