Republicans weigh using debt limit as leverage on Obamacare | Reuters:
This is the reason our country is so divided. If these guys were working in a corporation, they would be fired for insubordination. The Congress passed the Affordable Healthcare Act. They approved the spending of the money. It is unlawful, in my mind, to then refuse to pay the bills they approved. That is what refusing to raise the debt limit is. The President should ignore these people and pay the bills our government owes.
Republicans are scared to death that the AHA will work. That is why they keep trying to stop it. Let it go into full effect and then see what needs to be changed. That is what a functional government would do. Our Congress is dysfunctional due to Tea Party idiots. You cannot call them reasonable people because they don’t keep a reasonable position on anything. They say and do stupid things. Irrational, contradictory things. Extreme things. They get called names because of their ridiculous ideas. If something is stupid, you have to call it that. When facts are ignored, that is stupidity. Is ignorant a better word? OK, lets call them ignorant. But they are dangerous too. They can destroy the economy, democracy the country. That makes them stupid. They try to cover their extremism using the Constitution but don’t get that right.
They cannot be ignored though. They have power and money and must be stopped. Their lies and crazy ideas need to be brought to light so reasonable people can see them for what they are. Idealogical extremism at the fringes of political spectrum. Like any extreme nationalistic movements of the past.
The sad thing for me is that I know people that are in this camp. They are so-called friends. Can I really be friends with people like this? The Civil War split family and friends. Is this important enough to chose not to associate with Tea baggers? I am beginning to believe it is.
