It’s getting harder to read articles from major newspapers and magazines online. I see an interesting article from Flip or google news and when I click to read it, I get asked to subscribe. Forbes, Washington Post, Economist, NYT all do it. I get why but I can’t afford to subscribe to every major news source! I really don’t like getting news from FB posts and pages. They are too biased and take extreme views of some person and elevate their importance as if it were a major story. In short, social media contributes to the acrimony in the world. With all this great technology, it is still in the hands of a few companies that number 1 goal is to make money. We are still getting fed what “they” want us to see.
We need better filters that we can control to cut out the BS.
