Bush’s comments just confirm he is completely incapable of recognizing facts that contradict his views. And these Republicans that rant on the auto companies for building cars that people don’t want forget that this was a result of gas prices being driven up by speculation, not demand and the credit crunch which prevents people from buying cars that they want. The US companies are not the only ones that aren’t selling cars.
How do these people get elected? I guess it does support the arguement that getting the government more involved in running things will screw things up more. However, it doesn’t change the fact that the government does have an obligation to oversee the economy and business environment to at least try and prevent abuses, destablizing and disruptive products and services from being introduced that harm our society.
