This move to watching TV let alone all the ON DEMAND video services, people like me lose track of time. TV has for 50 years been on a schedule. I mean saturday morning cartoons, 3 or 4 in the afternoon was Start Trek. I mean you need to know the football games starts at 11:30 or noon or is it the 3 or 8. Now, I try to watch the olympics and I can tell if I am watching live or recorded on DirecTV. I had to go use the app on my iPhone and show it on the tv.
I find it very disruptive and it makes me think I am missing things and days and hours don’t mean much except for work meetings.
I may be making something out of nothing but I think this will change lives in ways we won’t expect.
I was fine with Dish as my provider but when I switched to DirecTV I was lost. Their guide doesn’t really tell you if you are selecting something live or just on demand. Nor does it tell you that the movie you selected is going to cost you until you are about to watch it.
