You Can’t Educate People Into Believing in Evolution – The Atlantic:

I had no idea that anybody that I would deal with in business would be a young-earth creationist until I found myself working for one in a technical field.  I was shocked that someone that worked in technology could ignore science.  Social Media has opened my eyes to just how many people there are and the latest Gallup poll puts it at 42%!!  It is no wonder I find it difficult to find anybody that shares a more reasonable view of the world.  The US is more anti-evolution than almost any other country except Turkey.  No wonder I enjoyed working overseas with more rational people..  I am going to have to consider finding a more liberal place to live.  Midwest suburbia is not the place to be.
